Issues with word wrapping and Template:Longitem[edit]

In Template:Chembox AllOtherNames, the values of the PIN and SystematicName parameters are wrapped in Template:Longitem, unlike IUPACName. However, the latter template's display:inline-block; prevents the word-wrap:break-word; in Template:Chembox AllOtherNames/format from functioning, making the text spill past the right end of the chembox in certain scenarios (usually involving long blocks of locants or stereodescriptors). In the example below, the 1st table directly passes the name to Template:Chembox AllOtherNames/format, while the 2nd inserts it in a Template:Longitem.

A minimal example of the issue and a possible solution.

I've put a possible solution in the 3rd table. It sets |style=max-width:22em; on the substitution of Template:Longitem, reiterating the value set in Template:Chembox AllOtherNames/format. This fix would be applied to Template:Chembox AllOtherNames, causing some additional work if the value is ever to be changed. LegionMammal978 (talk) 02:07, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[]

Fluorescence and stability[edit]

Hi there, I'm wondering if there are any Chembox sections for storing information about fluorescence and stability characteristics? E.g. for fluorescence, for something like fluorescein, it might say 494/512 em/ex (water). For stability, for something like acetyl CoA, it might say something like "Dry solids may be stored at 0 °C in a desiccator over long periods without decompisition. Generally stable in neutral and moderately acid solutions, even at elevated temp, hydrolysed in strong acid. Rapidly hydrolysed in alkaline solns. React quantitatively with neutral NH2OH forming acylhydroxamic acid."[1]Photocyte (talk) 00:02, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[]

Edit request[edit]

Please, could an admin apply this small change to {{Chembox Hazards}}? Od1n (talk) 12:11, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[]

Technically a correct change, but trivial so maybe useless. No effect on rendered page. Wait and go with other edits? -DePiep (talk) 12:37, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[]
